From Chamonix the road descends the valley past Les Houches to Le Fayet, then follows the A40 “Autoroute Blanche” along the Arve valley past Sallanches, Cluses and Bonneville to the Swiss border and Geneva Airport. In normal traffic the drive takes about 1 h 30 for roughly 100 km.
Winter Saturdays are the busiest day: most chalets change guests and traffic towards Geneva can be heavy. That is why we recommend leaving about 3 h 30 before your flight on Saturdays and about 3 h on other days. Your driver keeps an eye on traffic and road conditions and contacts you if an earlier pick-up is wiser.

Bus. Seasonal coaches run from the main resorts to Geneva Airport, mostly on winter weekends, but you first have to get to the bus stop with all your luggage.
Train. The train journey from Chamonix to Geneva Airport involves changes (usually at Saint-Gervais-Le Fayet) and takes much longer than the road.
